Taste of Vrsar - local products food tour is designed to encourage networking of local producers, additional promotion of istrian products and to give visitors the opportunity to get to know Vrsar and Istria through its gastronomic heritage.
Visitors and participants of the food tour will have the opportunity to taste local delicacies such as cured meat products from award-winning Istrian producers, learn about the properties of organically produced olive oil, try "Casanova's bites" taster prepared according to Casanova's memoirs that he recorded of his stay in Vrsar and finally an Istrian cocktail or non-alcoholic homemade juice. This experience will be completed by the accompaniment a local guide, a lover of Istrian gastronomy, who will introduce visitors to the history of the place through its culinary tradition.

The "Tastes of Vrsar" tour will take place every second Wednesday morning in English, for a maximum of 15 participants in an approximate duration of two hours. Reservation is required, and the price of the tour with guided tours and four tastings is 225 kuna per person. Reservations are made by phone or email to Locus Adventures. Tours for private groups in different languages are also possible by appointment.
This interesting food story was created through the collaboration of the Kalčić gourmet shop, Olive oil tasting bar Rosinjola, Miri, Trabaco Wine bar, local tourist guides and Locus Adventures agency with the help of TZO Vrsar with the aim of constantly enriching the offer of Vrsar, promoting local gastronomic heritage and strengthening the position of Istria as a gastronomic region.
The food tour will take place every second Wednesday morning in English.
